What is Zalgo Glitch Text?

Zalgo text (often called "glitch text", "void text", or "corrupted text") is text created by combining standard alphanumeric characters with multiple Unicode combining marks (accent symbols that display above, below, or inside letters). The term originates from internet memes about a supernatural entity representing chaos. Because these combining marks stack infinitely, they create a creepy, distorted visual effect that overflows standard line limits.

How the Stacking Accent Engine Works

In standard typography, combining marks (like the umlaut in ä or the tilde in ã) are used for grammatical notations. However, the Unicode standard allows multiple combining characters to be stacked on a single base letter. Our **Zalgo Text Generator** randomly selects up to 30 unique stacking diacritics (above and below) for every single letter you type. You can adjust the "Glitch Intensity" slider to increase or decrease the density of the corruption.
